TYPES OF PERSONAL TRAINING

Affordable and Flexible

1 x PT Session per Week

What you get:

  • 1 one hour session each week

  • A personalised weekly training plan for you to follow when not with me.

  • Text and email support between sessions so you never feel stuck or confused.

  • Personalised videos of any exercise you need help remembering.

  • Accountability - I will check in with you regularly to ensure you are training when on your own.  Note:  This is done for support, not to intimidate!

£50.00 per session

(Average monthly cost - £200)

No contract so you can stop as and when you feel it is right for you.

2 x PT Sessions per Week

What you get:

The same support and  guidance as with one session per week.

However, with twice a week, we push you faster and educate you quicker.

From experience, I have found that, for most people, adding the second session in per week more than doubles the speed of progress both technique wise and results wise.

£45.00 per session

(Average monthly cost - £360)

Note:  In order to qualify for the discount, 8 sessions or more  must have been completed during a 4 week month.

New Client Discount

What you get:

New clients

New clients are asked to commit and pay for their first 5 session in advance.

However, for those willing to commit to 10 session in advance, a 10% discount will be applied to each session.

Committing to 10 sessions up front allows us to set a longer term view of your training .  This ensures we cover the basics in more detail whilst increasing the possibility of a greater training potential for the future.

This is by far the most popular option when starting PT in my experience.

Initial Fee

£450 for 10 sessions - discounted

£250.00 for 5 sessions - not discounted

HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF PT

How Personal Training Works

After you get in contact about Personal Training, we will set up a free 60 minutes consultation.

This is usually done in person so that I can show you around the gym and we can see if we both feel we would work well together.  However, consultations can be done online where necessary.

At the end end of your friendly and informal consultation, you can commit there and then or go home and think about your options.  There is no hard sell and no commitment from yourself to purchase PT at the end of your consultation.

If you progress forwards with PT, your sessions typically look like the following:

  • Session 1 - Movement screenings to assess how proficient you are with the basics of training.

Between session 1 and session 2, I will use your consultation notes and your movement screenings to design a weekly training plan bespoke to your goals and your ability.

  • Session 2 - We will work through the training plan together ensuring you understand how to do each exercise, how to progress each exercise and what to expect from each session.

  • Session 3 - Work through any areas you feel you are struggling with.  You are only as strong as you weakest link so this session helps solidify techniques and confidence.

  • Session 4 - Now we start to train!  I will run you through a full routine ensuring you are working at an intensity designed to illicit changes and push your barriers.  Every person has individual barriers so again, how hard we work will be completely dictated by you, your goal, your training history and your time frames.

  • Session 5 onwards - Full training sessions

In these first 10 weeks my goal is to ensure you understand the core basics of training.  Whether you train for 10 weeks or 10 years with me, we will base all your progressions on these fundamentals so it makes sense to understand these right from the outset.

Progress is made far quicker once the basics are mastered!

NUTRITION

Nutrition is not covered unless requested.

If your goal requires nutritional planning or assistance, this can be factored in from the outset.

Typically sessions focusing on diet and food intake are 'sit down' sessions where the emphasis is on planning rather than pushing weights.

Note - I seldom amalgamate a nutritional chat into a training session.  The setting and focus are completely misaligned to effectively discuss nutrition whilst focusing on techniques.

----------------------------------------------------------------

The best thing about my system is you can alter your PT frequency depending on your budget, motivation and personal preferences at that time.

Do whatever suits you and I will be happy to support that.
